My creative work explores ecological time, attention and phenomena.
I wonder about a choreography of materials. Paper, fiber, water, ceramic, thread, mirror and lens are echoes of living forms on earth. Each holds a unique capacity and potential through change, touch and time. Elemental ingredients come together to create a new space, perhaps showing us disorientation, possibility and permutation. How might materials be composed to speak? What happens when a material changes shape? When the body responds? Light, sound and movement can be instruments of feeling and seeing, essential to this alchemy.
Therein, I consider tenuity and strength, fragility and grace.
